Smart Bottoms Dream Diaper Compared to Smart Bottoms Smart One 3.1
From the outside they appear to be the exact same diaper.
They are cut the same, they have the same rise & waist snaps, and they have the same leg elastics. Just as with the 3.1, the elastics need to be adjusted so that there is no fabric showing as well as the PUL cannot be too far turned in otherwise wicking can occur.
On the inside is where you will find all the differences between the Dream Diaper & the Smart One 3.1, noticeably the inside colors are very different.
The Dream Diaper is made of 55% Hemp & 45% Organic Cotton whereas the Smart One 3.1 is made of 100% Organic Cotton. The Dream's Hemp makes for a no-prep, more absorbent diaper. The Organic Cotton is processed using only boiling water whereas the Hemp is processed using boiling water in addition to diluted hydrogen peroxide.
The Dream Diaper has a snap-in insert whereas the Smart One 3.1 has a sewn in insert.
The Dream Diaper has a pocket that you can stuff for more absorbency (for overnight or heavy wetters) & putting something in the pocket does not cause leg gaps.

How old is your little one and how long Is it on before the next diaper change? I have found blueberry diapers great right now, but my baby is only five months.
ReplyDeleteMy twins turned 2 in January, we change as soon as they are wet or dirty, normally around every 2 hours. At night though we do not change at all & they do nurse a couple times throughout the night. We also used Blueberry, these are pretty comparable, but I preferred the Smart Bottoms fit over Blueberry. The Dream diaper is pretty similar to Blueberry since it has a pocket.
